Cookie policy
Sustopedia works without an account. This policy explains the first-party browser records used to remember a privacy preference and resume a private assessment during its access period. Neither record is used to follow you across websites.
Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small value a website can ask a browser to store. Websites can also use similar browser storage, such as local storage. Sustopedia currently uses local storage—not cookies—to remember your preference and a private assessment session.
Sustopedia does not use this record as an analytics identifier and does not use it to follow you across sites.
First-party browser records
The first-party record sustopedia_consent remembers whether Performance & analytics is on or off. It also contains the save time and preference-format version so the site can expire or safely replace an old value.

Performance & analytics
The preference interface initially shows Performance & analytics as on, following the current product decision. You can switch it off and save the choice at any time.
No optional advertising or third-party analytics collector is connected, so this setting does not create an analytics cookie. The assessment service does record limited first-party functional events such as view, start, save-count, completion and report unlock. Those service records are not browser cookies and are described in the Privacy policy.
Categories not used in the MVP
Sustopedia does not use functionality storage for visitor accounts, saved terms, follows, social login, chat or cross-site personalization.
It does not use targeting or advertising cookies, social-login cookies, ad pixels, cross-site identifiers, remarketing storage or marketing-profile storage.
Your choices
Open Cookie preferences to keep Performance & analytics on or turn it off. The dictionary remains fully functional either way. Deleting sustopedia_consent in your browser removes the remembered choice and returns the control to its initial on state.
Deleting an assessment-session record removes local access to that assessment. It does not itself delete server-side answers, results, report-access details, consent receipts or integrity records. Use the contact route in the Privacy policy for an applicable data request. Marketing consent at the report gate is separate from Cookie preferences.
