Public use and assessment access

Sustopedia provides open access to published dictionary and metric pages. Assessment pages let you submit answers, save progress for a limited period, receive an anonymous snapshot and optionally unlock a detailed report. The private assessment token expires after 24 hours. You are responsible for keeping it private.

To open a detailed report, you must provide the four required items shown at the gate: work email, company name, country and agreement to the report-access statement. Other profile fields and marketing consent are optional. The report opens in the browser immediately. A contact profile, email-question or result-review request, and any optional marketing permission become active only after the submitted work email is confirmed using the one-time verification link. Selecting Report only does not ask for consultant follow-up.

Your answers and contact details

Provide information you reasonably believe is accurate for the organization and scope being assessed. Do not submit confidential information, special-category personal data, credentials, private keys or another person’s contact details unless you have authority to do so. Assessment results can be incomplete or misleading when answers are inaccurate, ambiguous or omit relevant facts.

You may use the service only lawfully and must not attempt to bypass access controls, probe private runs, disrupt the service, submit malicious content or misrepresent a Sustopedia result as an official third-party determination.

How assessment results must be understood

Published assessment versions use defined branching and deterministic rules. A result is based only on the answers submitted, the published methodology version and any declared calculation inputs. Confidence, missing information, sources and limitations form part of the result and must not be removed when interpreting it.

• The EcoVadis diagnostic does not reproduce or predict an official score, percentile, medal, badge or procurement outcome.
• The GHG diagnostic does not calculate or verify an emissions inventory, select factors, provide assurance or establish conformity.
• The CBAM diagnostic does not determine customs classification, origin, legal liability or authorization. Any cost scenario is indicative and depends on declared inputs and stated price assumptions.

Controlling law, regulator or competent-authority instructions, official platform methodology, contractual requirements and verified facts take precedence over any Sustopedia output.

Sustopedia provides general information and preliminary decision support, not legal, customs, tax, financial, investment, scientific, accreditation, assurance or other professional advice. Obtain appropriate professional review where a decision depends on a particular jurisdiction or set of facts.

AI assistance, deterministic rules and sources

Sustopedia uses AI-assisted research and content operations together with structured source records and machine validation. Assessment scores, branches and findings are produced by the published deterministic rule set rather than an AI model deciding the result. These controls do not make the content or result error-free, complete or always current.

Library pages and assessment reports link to external sources and paraphrase the material used. A source link and methodology as-of date do not mean the publisher has reviewed, endorsed or certified Sustopedia or a particular result.

Third-party material and applicable notices

Sustopedia links to source pages operated by other organizations. Those pages are outside Sustopedia, can change independently and may display their own terms and rights notices.

Before reusing third-party material, check the notice on the relevant source. For Sustopedia pages and assets, follow only a copyright, attribution, licence, trademark or other notice actually displayed with the material.

Reports and optional services

Detailed reports open in the browser and can be printed or saved as PDF using browser controls. Sustopedia does not promise email delivery of the report. A verification email confirms the address and selected contact permissions; it is not delivery of the report. Selecting a Semtrio support link or requesting contact does not itself create a paid engagement, assurance relationship or agreed professional scope. Any service requires separate confirmation and terms.

Availability and changes

Sustopedia can change its pages, sources, routes, features or published library as the service develops. A page or linked source can be unavailable, delayed, incomplete or contain an error.

The site does not promise uninterrupted access, recovery of an expired private token, real-time currency, completeness or error-free output. A changed or unavailable page does not replace the controlling source for a decision.
