Employees who took parental leave
Measurement answer
What this metric measures
Employees who took parental leave during the reporting period, retained by source-reported gender category, jurisdiction and source edition without treating the count as an entitlement, return or retention measure.

Reporting boundary
Employees only. One employee is counted once per declared period and leave-use rule. Sum only mutually exclusive gender and jurisdiction rows after deduplication; do not add a total to its components. Do not substitute current ESRS family-related leave use or future GRI paid-leave percentages.

Evidence and status sources
Sustopedia checked each record-specific claim directly against primary publisher material. Labels distinguish current measurement authority from future compatibility and corroborative, legal, edition, or method status context. Corroborative evidence can support a stated limitation but cannot establish the core measurement by itself.

Method disclosures required
Source-edition basis: GRI 401: Employment 2016 — 2016 edition. Retain the exact source edition on every observation; later editions require a separate method profile.

Record-specific limitations
- The count is not normalized for workforce size or entitlement, does not show leave duration or pay adequacy, and depends on legal definitions and payroll or HR-system capture.
Interpret this metric with the stated reporting boundary, period convention, value shape, and unit. Results prepared with different boundaries or conventions may not be directly comparable.
Measurement evidence supports the core record-specific claims described above. Corroborative evidence can support limitations, while compatibility and status sources provide their separately labelled context. None of these cards by itself determines an organisation's legal applicability, filing readiness, assurance status, or compliance conclusion.
