  • State own-operations boundary, waste stream, hazardous status, recycling definition and edition, classification source, period, source, and assurance.
  • Report non-recycled mass as t — metric tonnes (1 t = 1,000 kg), or kg — kilograms for a source-native small quantity.
  • Label the percentage as source-reported and state its denominator name, value, unit, period, boundary, method, and source locator where documented.
  • Never average percentages or recompute a ratio without a separately admitted denominator, eligibility, missing-destination, and classification method.

Record-specific limitations

  • Current ESRS E5-5 does not state an executable denominator for its non-recycled-waste percentage.
  • Non-recycled waste can include preparation-for-reuse or other-recovery quantities and is not automatically waste directed to disposal.
  • The adopted-pending ESRS disposal proportion is a different future-edition measure and does not repair the current method.
