• Disclose the energy unit used.
• Report total electricity consumption separately from scope totals.
• Describe inclusion of scope 2 activity data and electricity from owned or operated installations.
• Report the physical amount of electricity consumed independently from Scope 2 emissions reporting.
• State the standard energy unit used, such as kWh, MWh, TJ, BTU, or another relevant energy unit.
• Disclose the organizational or inventory boundary used for the electricity-consumption total.
• Describe any conversion, estimation, or aggregation approach used when source consumption data are not already in the reported energy unit.
• State that the quantity includes all electricity purchased, acquired and consumed during the reporting period.
• Disclose treatment of electricity generated by facilities owned or operated by the organization.

Record-specific limitations

• The electricity-consumption quantity is reported separately from scope emissions totals and is not itself a scope emissions total.
